Dr. Xiaoxi Lin is a professor of Plastic Surgery, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine; Professor of Plastic Surgery, Shanghai Nine People’s Hospital; Vice-Chair, Department of Plastic Reconstructive Surgery ; Director, Division of Vascular Anomalies, Department of Plastic Surgery; Chair, Department of Laser and Aesthetic Medicine, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital.

Dr. Lin’s long-term clinical focus is on vascular anomalies, facial cosmetic surgery and laser cosmetic medicine. In the past 30 years, he has made significant contributions to our understanding of the development of infantile hemangioma as well as vascular malformations. His rich experience in surgical and non-surgical therapies in treating vascular anomalies, including innovative surgical, laser, PDT, interventional therapy and precision medicine, has helped thousands of patients each year and nourished a great number of young surgeons. Dr. Lin’s interest in cosmetic surgery is in facial rejuvenation. He is one of the leaders in the field of facial rejuvenation in China. He has developed and popularized some novel surgical techniques in facelift and facial cosmetic surgery. His cable-stayed bridge rhytidectomy was selected as the cover article of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in September 2021. He also won the best paper award of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2019.

He has been awarded 30 more scientific grants from national and regional research foundations, such as “Baiqianwan”talents project national talents，Natinal outstanding young and middle-aged experts, New Century Excellent Talents Award; The Honorable Title of Shanghai Leading Talents, Famous Doctors in China, Shanghai Excellent Academic Leader. As a first contributor, he has received nine important awards in recent years, including 1st Prize of Science and Technology Advancement Award, Chinese Ministry of Education; President Award, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, China; The Chinese Medical Science and Technology Prize; Shanghai Scientific and Technological Advancement Award; Top 10 Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeons, Chinese Medical Doctor Association; National Shulan Medical Prize in Biology and Medicine, China, Visiting Academician of Academy of Medicine, Singapore; The Best Paper Award (2019), Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and so on.
